Albrecht Public Relations honored with the Mike Russell Image Award at national conference
(DES MOINES) – The Iowa Motor Truck Association won leadership and image awards at the American Trucking Associations at the industry’s annual Management Conference & Exhibit in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The Trucking Association Executives Council Leadership Award was granted to Brenda Neville, IMTA’s CEO, just the 15th recipient of the award honoring the country’s best state trucking association leaders.
“I am honored to receive this award on behalf of our statewide membership, which has some of the best suppliers and carriers in the nation,” said Neville.
The award includes a $10,000 grant for the Iowa Motor Carriers Foundation, which conducts research and education on behalf of the trucking industry in Iowa.
The second award IMTA landed was the Mike Russell Trucking Industry Image Award, which honors members who go above and beyond to draw positive attention for the industry.
IMTA was recognized for “developing an innovative campaign to encourage their members to promote the industry by awarding points for various activities.”
“Our members stepped up to tell the important story of trucking in Iowa, and I am proud of the work they are doing on behalf of the industry’s image,” said Neville.
As part of the “Trucking Moves Iowa Forward” campaign, members actively engaged in contacting local officials, posting to social media, sponsoring local events and writing letters to the editor in community papers.
Neville was at the conference and recognized on stage.
